Alexis Olympia Ohanian has just made history by becoming the youngest owner of a professional sports team. At 2 years old, Olympia has joined her mother, Serena Williams in becoming a co-owner of the new L.A. women’s soccer team “Angel City.”
Olympia and Serena are in good company, joining Natalie Portman, Eva Longoria, Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, and 10 other former US Women’s National players.
Alexis Ohanian, Sr. is the lead investor of the new team, and wrote about what this meant for his daughter on Instagram. “As someone who spends hours kicking around a football with my two-year-old daughter, I want her to have a front row seat to this revolution. I’m personally investing on behalf of my family because creating more opportunities in women’s sports is important to my wife @serenawilliams and me, and we want to be a part of making a better future for our daughter.”
