Brat Pack Pays Tribute To Director John Hughes

Teen stars from the 80s gathered virtually on Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart Youtube series this past week to pay tribute to iconic director John Hughes. Hughes passed away in 2009 after a fatal heart attack. He is best known as the godfather of the teen rom-com, and was known for his comedic writing.

Stars from many of his most famous films quoted their most iconic lines. The video features appearances from Molly Ringwald (Sixteen Candles), Steve Martin (Planes, Trains, and Automobiles), Jane Krakowski (National Lampoon’s Vacation), Michael Keaton (Mr. Mom), and Catherine O’Hara from Home Alone doing her famous scream from the hit film.

Hughes was correct when he said, “If you create great universal characters that are funny and engaging and touch people, you make something that will play everywhere.” This video is a testament to the characters and films he created that have stood the test of time.
